Despite the fact that Broken Tales is a game based on fairytales, we have always exercised poetic license, encroaching on all those stories that have become immortal classics. When it comes to fantastic stories, Alice in Wonderland, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and many other children's books are almost universally recognized.
The real protagonists in Broken Tales are the villains, and there is a whole strand of villains that we haven't yet touched on, but they include some of the most evil characters ever. The nineteenth century saw the publication of great literary classics, as well as the popularity of gothic horror and fantasy adventure. As a result, Lost Stories will feature an exclusive selection of new Hunters drawn from the great classics:
The Pale Medic: Dracula, the immortal vampire, has been transformed into an unprecedented altruistic version. A doctor dedicated to using the power of his blood to save lives.
Doctor V. Frankenstein: Professor V. Frankenstein, drawn from the most iconic of mad scientists and always accompanied by his faithful Creature, can literally give "life" to anything.
Moriarty the Gentleman Thief: We turned Sherlock Holmes' main adversary, the "Napoleon of Crime," into a novel romantic version, reversing the original character's perspective as befits every Broken Tales Hunter.
These Hunters, which will be only available to campaign backers, have their own distinct gameplay style, which is also reflected graphically in Daniel Comerci's stunning artwork.
That's not all, of course. With such a diverse repertoire of literary "sacred monsters," we're ready to dazzle you with even more new entries, which we hope will be unlocked during the Campaign!
