"I once lingered at the edge of the Blighted Lands, near the sealed walls of Vathan—walls raised by the United Churches to trap that festering ruin forever. Long ago, Holy Water flowed, and Edel Lorias guided its distillation, but wars and an ancient force have since twisted what was once pure. Now the City chokes on madness, its Sovereign hidden away, the people turned feral or lost to hollow obsession. The Churches send Dowsers beyond the ramparts to gather relics and secrets, but none ever return. In that silence, I hear only whispers of what must lie within."

Bitter Chalice is an adventure role-playing game set in a desolate fantasy world. Its story unfolds in the Blighted Lands surrounding the once-lush, now cursed city of Vathan, where inhabitants suffer from relentless thirst, hunger, and madness.

Rather than following the traditional TTRPG model, Bitter Chalice presents a single, finely curated campaign wrapped in its own ruleset—delivering a focused, coherent experience unlike any other.
